I've been a customer here forever (or it just seems that way) and when I went in today to pay my bill, I just now noticed the sign on the window, AND on the counter, about leaving a Google review if you're happy with your experience. As this company has been incredibly good to me throughout the years, I figured I at the very least I can leave a Google review singing their praises. I have been a customer of Self Storage One - Perry Hall since 2006, when I first bought a home in the area (less than 3 min away by car). Obviously, money is always paramount, and I've always been pleased with their very competitive prices. But to be honest, it was the other amenities and courtesies extended to me that definitely kept my business with them... To start with, the 24 hour access at no extra charge was such a necessity we for me. Often while working a job during the night hours, if something occurred that made me then needed supplies or tools that I didn't have on me, I could quickly pick them up and get right back to the job. Another huge benefit was how the staff would allow me the temporary use of a vacant unit. There were a handful of occasions, while working a demo job or an business close-out job, where I would have a lot of surplus material that needed to get sorted and organized before it was put away for storage in my units. There were a handful of time like this, where the staff would allow me to use a vacant unit, for just a day or two (but this day or two made all the difference) so I could dismantle/sort/organize/etc. whatever I was working with at the time. Other times, it would just allow me to work on something for a customer in a covered space where neither myself nor what I was working on was affected by heavy rains or the heat of the summer sun or the harsh cold of the winter. I also really appreciated the ease and speed of getting a unit (no credit checks or countless forms that other places make you do). In addition, if I ever needed something fixed, it was done amazingly fast. For example, there was this one time, a few years back, where on one of my units, the mechanism that lifts and rolls the door up, got jammed and I couldn't get the door to go up to get into my unit. I called the office to report it and their amazing maintenance guy, Tim, had it repaired within two hours! In fact, it is my strong opinion, that the staff here has always been the businesses biggest asset & greatest selling point. Everyone that has worked here has always been super friendly and accommodating; they always took the time to get to know me and made me feel more than just a random customer, but rather a valued neighbor. Back when I got my first unit there, Ms. Judy was the property manager, and she was the sweetest woman, always taking the time to talk to me and ask how I was doing. And the same went for the managers that followed: Tim, Lauren, and now Julian. Super great individuals who always try to accommodate your needs and work with you, especially if your rent was a little late because business was slow that month. A big shout out to all these peeps! Couldn't ask for a nicer group of individuals!
